WELCOME TO Blue Butterfly Montessori Stanmore
Established in 2021, Stanmore is the second Blue Butterfly Montessori nursery, providing high-quality Montessori childcare and early years education within safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environments where safeguarding and children’s wellbeing remain central to nursery life.
Located a short distance from the heart of Stanmore, our purpose-built nursery offers carefully prepared learning environments designed to support children’s emotional wellbeing, confidence, independence, communication and language development and school readiness through child-led exploration and meaningful learning experiences.
Guided by the teaching principles of Maria Montessori and supported by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, our experienced Early Years Educators encourage children to become confident, capable and curious learners while developing a lifelong love of learning.
At Blue Butterfly Montessori Stanmore, we are passionate about creating a warm, welcoming and language-rich environment where children feel safe, valued and supported to thrive socially, emotionally, physically and academically.

I have been working with Amy, the SENCO at Blue Butterfly, for speech and language support for the past few months and have been really impressed with the support she and her team provide. Amy is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and always open to new ideas I suggest implementing. She and the staff are also very well resourced and always happy to consider suggested resources, which makes collaboration smooth and effective.One aspect I really value is how the key teaching staff is always welcomed into our sessions. This allows the language and strategies we work on to naturally grow within the class setting, with the ongoing support of the team. Amy and the staff create such a positive, collaborative environment, and it’s clear how dedicated they are to the children’s progress.

Such an amazing Montessori, great activities for the children to develop, grow and learn. The staff are all well-trained and have continuous education to keep up to date with the latest policies and procedures. Management are well mannered and approachable, always ready to offer advice and support. Finally, the food that the children have is cooked to a high standard, and the cleanliness of the food, preparation area and nursery is one of the best i have seen.

As an Early Years Practitioner/Montessori student, I chose to do my work experience in several different settings, learning something new from each one. Blue Butterfly Pinner, however, is special. Every single staff member I encountered was interested in one thing alone - the wellbeing of the children. There is a beautiful, positive atmosphere when you walk in, nothing but smiles and kind, warm, friendly staff and fantastic teachers that make the children feel loved and safe. The managers are empowering and approachable, strong leadership is evident and staff morale is high. The food is divine..nutritious and healthy. The children often ask for seconds. I would happily recommend Blue Butterfly Montessori to anyone who wants to see their child thrive!

Excellent nursery. Staff are very well trained. We have noticed the significant improvement Blue Butterfly has had on our daughter both in confidence and vocabulary. She has been attending since January 2016. Our preference would be for Blue Butterfly to open earlier than 8am (even by 15 minutes). We recommend this nursery highly.
