About Us

Blue Butterfly Montessori was established in 2012 with the opening of our first nursery in Pinner, followed by our second branch in Stanmore in 2021.

We are dedicated to providing high-quality Montessori childcare and early years education within safe, nurturing and inclusive environments where children feel valued, supported and inspired to learn. Guided by the Montessori approach and EYFS framework, we recognise every child as a unique individual with their own interests, strengths and pace of development.

At Blue Butterfly Montessori, we believe childhood should be filled with curiosity, confidence, kindness and meaningful experiences. Our carefully prepared learning environments encourage children to develop independence, communication skills, creativity and school readiness through child-led exploration and hands-on learning experiences.

Our experienced Early Years Educators are passionate about supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and creating engaging learning opportunities that help every child flourish socially, emotionally and academically while developing a lifelong love of learning.

Strong parent partnerships remain central to our nursery ethos. By building trusting home-nursery relationships through communication, collaboration and shared experiences, we work closely with families to support every child’s individual learning and development journey.

Children at Blue Butterfly Montessori also benefit from freshly prepared vegetarian meals made on-site daily within our no added sugar, no added salt, nut-free and egg-free environment, helping to promote healthy lifestyles and positive eating habits from an early age.

Above all, we take pride in creating a warm, welcoming nursery community where children feel safe, happy and empowered to become confident, capable and independent learners.

This is what we believe makes Blue Butterfly Montessori truly special and what continues to make the difference for the children and families we are privileged to support.

High Standard of Care

At Blue Butterfly Montessori, every child’s wellbeing, happiness and development remain at the centre of everything we do.

Through nurturing relationships, inclusive practice and personalised support, we create an environment where children feel safe, valued and supported to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.

Strong parent partnerships, experienced educators and a child-centred approach help children develop the confidence, resilience and skills needed for the next stage of their educational journey.

Modern Facilities

Our nursery environments have been thoughtfully designed to provide safe, calm and engaging spaces where children can learn, explore and grow with confidence.

Carefully prepared learning environments, age-appropriate resources and secure outdoor spaces support children’s emotional wellbeing, independence and development through meaningful learning experiences and child-led exploration.

Vegetarian Meals

At Blue Butterfly Montessori, we believe healthy eating habits begin in early childhood. Our freshly prepared vegetarian meals are made on-site daily within our no added sugar, no added salt, nut-free and egg-free environment.

Our carefully planned menus provide balanced, nutritious and flavourful meals that support children’s wellbeing, healthy lifestyles and positive relationships with food. Mealtimes are viewed as important social experiences where children are encouraged to develop independence, confidence and self-care skills within a calm and nurturing environment.

Dedicated Montessori Approach

Inspired by the teaching principles of Maria Montessori and supported by the EYFS framework, our approach encourages children to learn through hands-on experiences, child-led exploration and purposeful play.

Our experienced educators carefully observe each child’s interests and stage of development, providing personalised learning opportunities that support confidence, independence, creativity, communication and language development, problem-solving skills and school readiness at every child’s own pace.
