WELCOME TO GREEN BUTTERFLIES

Our vibrant space designed for toddlers aged approximately 18 months to 30 months old.

In Green Butterflies, natural light floods our spacious environment, providing an inspiring setting for exploration and growth. With both indoor and outdoor learning opportunities available daily, Blue Butterfly Montessori offers an ideal space for toddlers to flourish.

Our toddlers at Green Butterflies are always engaged in exciting activities, from baking biscuits to sensory play with slime, and mastering pencil control. We blend the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum with Montessori principles to foster learning through play while empowering children to make their own choices.

Each child at Green Butterflies is assigned a key worker who actively encourages exploration and participation in educational activities, as well as supporting self-care routines like handwashing, dressing, and feeding. Real-life experiences are integral to helping children understand the world around them.

We celebrate the individual learning styles of each child, allowing them to express their preferences and interests. Whether they thrive in group settings or prefer solitary exploration, our experienced Early Years Educators ensure that every learning opportunity is thoughtfully prepared to meet the diverse needs of our toddlers. Join us at Green Butterflies for a journey of discovery and growth!

Children want the same things we want. To laugh, to be challenged, to be entertained, and delighted.

In Green Butterflies the support of independence helps to develop a strong sense of self and gives each child the confidence to thrive innocently and evolve key life skills. They are given the freedom of choice at mealtimes and encouraged to self-serve therefore preparing them for their transition to Blue Butterflies (Pre-school), where development of independence is one of our top priorities in order to prepare them for their transition to ‘Big School’. When ready, educators will support the toilet training journey making it a positive experience moving on from nappies.

Your child’s caring and attentive keyworker will nurture and scaffold your child’s journey through Green Butterflies acknowledging their individual needs and interests. Our ‘Golden Rules’ play a vital role to support children understanding and respecting one another, educators role model these golden rules using good manners and valuing each other, therefore establishing the key British Values.

The keyworker will assess the 7 areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS- https://www.harrow.gov.uk/childcare/childcare-choices/2) through a two- year report and a parents evening report and meeting every 3 months. This will help parents and careers have a clear understanding of their child’s development.

Parent Testimonials

Having worked in several nursery settings before joining Blue Butterfly Pinner, I immediately knew during my first encounter with Management that I was moving to a place that would significantly shape my journey in childcare. I felt a strong sense of belonging and knew I was meant to be here, working alongside such a wonderful team. My time at BBM has already provided me with so many opportunities for growth, for which I am truly grateful. This journey has been an incredible experience, and I’m excited for what the future holds as I continue to work alongside this amazing team!

As an Early Years Practitioner/Montessori student, I chose to do my work experience in several different settings, learning something new from each one. Blue Butterfly Pinner, however, is special. Every single staff member I encountered was interested in one thing alone - the wellbeing of the children. There is a beautiful, positive atmosphere when you walk in, nothing but smiles and kind, warm, friendly staff and fantastic teachers that make the children feel loved and safe. The managers are empowering and approachable, strong leadership is evident and staff morale is high. The food is divine..nutritious and healthy. The children often ask for seconds. I would happily recommend Blue Butterfly Montessori to anyone who wants to see their child thrive!

My daughter has just graduated from this nursery and we are leaving with the fondest memories. Genuinely can’t recommend it enough. The management is fantastic and we are so grateful for all the care and attention our daughter has received from her key workers and teachers. Can’t wait for my son to join next year! Thank you!

Excellent nursery. Staff are very well trained. We have noticed the significant improvement Blue Butterfly has had on our daughter both in confidence and vocabulary. She has been attending since January 2016. Our preference would be for Blue Butterfly to open earlier than 8am (even by 15 minutes). We recommend this nursery highly.
