What is Valentine's Day?
Valentine’s Day is a special celebration held each year on February 14th, all about love, kindness and caring for others. It is named after Saint Valentine and is celebrated in many countries around the world. For young children, Valentine’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to learn about friendship, sharing and showing appreciation for family and friends.
How Blue Butterfly Celebrated Valentine's Day
At Blue Butterfly Montessori, we marked the day with fun activities such as making colourful cards, creating heart-themed crafts and talking about how we can be kind to one another. It’s a joyful way to help children understand the importance of love, compassion and positive relationships in their everyday lives. We also hosted two Stay and Play events, where we invited families into Blue Butterfly to celebrate this special day with their children. During these sessions, the children enjoyed taking part in Valentine’s Day themed activities alongside their families, creating special memories together while strengthening bonds between home and nursery.
