Staff Training Day 2025!!!
Our recent staff training day was a true reflection of our nursery ethos: to Unfold, Educate, Inspire. From meaningful discussions to skill building workshops and moments of shared joy, the day offered us all the chance to grow, both individually and as a team.
We started the morning with focused room meetings, allowing each team to unfold their thoughts and ideas for the coming months. These sessions were a chance to connect, collaborate, and plan key room developments, upcoming events, and focus areas tailored to the needs of our children and settings.
We were then fortunate to welcome @sltwithmeera for a hands-on Speech and Language Therapy workshop. This was an incredibly valuable experience, giving staff the opportunity to refresh their knowledge of Makaton signs, explore the use of core boards, and learn practical strategies to support communication in their rooms. It was a fantastic way to educate and empower our team with tools to enhance every child’s voice and journey.
Lunchtime brought us together for a delicious potluck lunch, and let’s just say we’ve clearly got some very talented cooks and bakers among us! More than just great food, it was a moment to bond, relax, and enjoy one another’s company. These small moments of togetherness are essential in strengthening our team culture.
In the afternoon, we held our full team meetings before transitioning into a self-care workshop.
At Stanmore we enjoyed a calming well-being workshop led by @bodhiandbreath. This was the perfect way to close the day, offering space for self-care, reflection, and relaxation. In prioritising our own well-being, we continue to be the best versions of ourselves for the children and families we support—ready to inspire every day.
For our Pinner branch we wrapped up the day with a burst of energy and fun in a Zumba session, followed by dedicated time for room improvements, displays, and organisation—leaving our spaces refreshed and ready to welcome children back.
The day was a reminder of what makes our nursery special: a commitment to unfolding potential, educating with purpose, and inspiring one another along the way.
