Our tailored room, where children from 30 months old up to 5 years old embark on a journey of holistic development.
Our curriculum is rooted in the Montessori approach, seamlessly integrating with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework, tailored to each child’s unique interests and abilities.
In our diverse preschool environment, children learn alongside peers of varying ages, fostering a sense of mutual support and community known as vertical learning. This dynamic promotes resilience, patience, and tolerance as children navigate their learning journey at their own pace. Upon joining Blue Butterflies, each child is paired with a dedicated Key Person who guides their physical and intellectual growth. Emphasising exploration and self-reliance, our educators act as facilitators, providing individual or group presentations based on each child’s developmental stage.
Our classrooms radiate a nurturing atmosphere akin to home, encouraging children to engage in practical life activities such as food preparation, setting tables, and caring for their environment. These activities lay the groundwork for later academic skills in areas like writing and mathematics.
Additionally, we offer rolling snack in the morning and evening, empowering children to make choices and serve themselves, promoting individual liberty and independence. This approach not only fosters confidence and self-esteem but also enhances motor skills and self-help abilities, minimising idle time and maximising learning opportunities.
