At Blue Butterfly Montessori we believe that a school uniform is important:
- It looks smart
- Wears well
- Contributes to a sense of belonging and community
- Gives a common purpose
- Fosters a feeling of pride
- Is designed with health and safety in mind
It is compulsory that children from Pre-School (2.5 years) wear the uniform, this will encourage them to maintain a good standard of clean and tidy dress when at nursery. The nursery uniform consists of blue joggers, polo shirt and sweatshirt. All other items are optional.
The uniform is designed to be practical, maintainable and good value for money.
Hair accessories such as slides, ribbons bobbles, etc., should be fairly simple and if possible, in nursery colours. For safety reasons jewellery should also be kept simple.
Parents are asked to ensure that all items are labelled clearly with their child’s name. We strongly recommend purchasing the name labels.
From 3 months to 2 years the Blue Butterfly Montessori infant backpack can be purchased through Mapac and is highly recommended. However, if you would like your child to use our Nursery Library, Bookshare, it is compulsory to purchase a book bag.
